Let the wild rumpus start
Thoughts of weight-loss continued to dive-bomb my good-intentions and I caught myself considering how many calories I was in-taking - fruit juice, vegetable juice, milk, coffee, water. So I switched to a traditional Jewish fast - I would only consume liquids during the day and eat dinner with my family in the evening. Preparing and feeding food to Waylon and Joey was so hard and I was not steadfast. I started out wanting to do a liquid-only fast. I tackled the fast head-on, shoulder-down. I definitely do not have an eating disorder, but my obsession with the food I eat and the size and shape of my body has been lifelong. I knew, with those renegade thoughts in my head that this would be a bigger challenge for me than it would for some people. I was excited to be able to participate in a traditional fast and eager to start the challenge.įrom that first day, I knew this was going to be sticky. When the opportunity came to participate in a 21-Day fast, I almost immediately thought it would be a great way to lose a few more pounds. I have grown to appreciate and even hunger for comments on the amount of weight I've lost. The weight I've lost so far has come off effortlessly - no diets, and just fun exercise. I have lost a significant amount of weight since I had Waylon and have never felt better in my skin.

I knew from day one the biggest challenge of this fast would be overcoming my selfish ulterior motives. I gained weight over two-and-a-half weeks of fasting. I weighed myself this morning, certain that I would have lost weight over the last two-and-a-half weeks. (I've seen it and even talked about it before, but it never ceases to amaze me.) I am so blindsided by the ugliness of my heart. I took several photos specifically for this introductory post and my battery died dead. Since today is one of those days when I can think of little else than accessorizing my living room, I thought I would put this all out in the open and start posting before and afters, how-tos, how-not-tos, etc. That happens from time to time, but more often than not, I'm just stealing other people's ideas and re-creating them at a much cheaper cost. It's not that I'm coming up with my own ideas. What happens is I see something I like/want, but being as I am as cheap as I am crafty, I most likely will refuse to spend what is wanted for said thing. I re-decorate my house at least once a month, sometimes more depending on the season and the success.Īnd I am a master copy-crafter. As a matter of fact, there are days when that's all I can think about. I am a self-professed interior-design-aholic. What you may or may not know is that I love decorating and re-decorating and making and re-making things. ”Happiness isn't always the best way to be happy.I just decided this afternoon that it's time to take this blog to the next level, or another level.maybe not necessarily up.
#LET THE WILD RUMPUS START MOVIE#
The dog sticker is from Studio Calico and I thought it fitted beautifully :)Īnd I will leave you with another quote from the movie Seems that Belinda and I also thought along the same lines when it came to using our sewing machines lol Together with the Sassafras Lass paper and October Afternoon/ Carolee’s alpha stickers I used the book page (mine was from Swiss Family Robinson), the Nut and Bee notepaper, the Wild Things Are Inch image, a tea card (you can see the back of it peeking out above the photo), a button and the leaf sticky note (which I stitch over where the vines were) So I thought I would scrap this page of my Husband Dave from the early 1980’s, he and his brother are painting a dog kennel Don't feed it, he'll just follow you around.” One of the quotes from the movie is when Max sees the giant dog in the dessert and asks “What’s that?” Carol replies “Oh, it's that dog. I had the cardstock tucked away waiting to be used. The buttons are from Such Sweet Tierney, the lettering from Sassafras Lass and the cardstock has the negative print from piece of Basic Grey doily paper, that I used a mask. I also used the airmail envelope and it all went together to make this I cut out the writing paper one and used it for my journal spot.Īnd the plastic magnifying glass I stitched onto my page to highlight the back of the hero card (I actually cut out the quote and cut off the front so I can use them on something else) The second thing I spied and loved was the very cool magnifying glasses. I then scrunched it, which I then learnt I probably shouldn’t have because it lost the ash edge which looked cool.
